History of the Tickets
Get a limited edition concert ticket from one of the performances canceled by Led Zeppelin in Chicago as a result of the untimely death of their drummer, John Henry Bonham, the night before the tickets went on sale.
Zeppelin's return to North American Stages was supposed to begin Oct. 17 in Montreal and continue through mid-November, with stops at a number of arenas throughout the East and Midwest USA.
The band's management unveiled the list of tour dates on Sept. 11, 1980. While this leg of the tour was too short to satiate pent-up demand for live Led Zeppelin performances in North America, it would follow the demands of Robert Plant after the untimely death of his son.
Led Zeppelin disbanded shortly after cancelling the remainder of the 1980 tour, and shared their decision with the world in a press release on December 4, 1980. "We wish it to be known," they wrote, "that the loss of our dear friend and the deep respect we have for his family, together with the deep sense of undivided harmony felt by ourselves and our manager, have led us to decide that we could not continue as we were."
Ticket is in mint condition, and all items are securely shipped in a protective envelope.
